Effective date: March 6, 2026 · Last updated: March 6, 2026
Jobb (“Jobb”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an AI-powered business management tool for skilled tradespeople, delivered through messaging apps such as WhatsApp. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
By using Jobb, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
Information you provide directly
- Phone number — collected when you first message Jobb via WhatsApp or another supported channel. This is your primary account identifier.
- Your name and trade — collected during onboarding to personalise your account.
- Business messages — the text messages you send to describe jobs, customers, payments, and other business activity. These messages are the core input to the service.
- Voice notes — audio messages you send are transcribed and processed by our AI. The audio content is used solely to extract business information you intend to record.
- Business data — job records, customer names and phone numbers, invoice amounts, payment records, and other business information you enter through the service.
Information collected automatically
- Usage logs — timestamps of messages, actions taken (e.g. invoice created, payment recorded), and error logs used to maintain and improve the service.
- Channel metadata — which messaging platform you used (e.g. WhatsApp) and the message delivery status provided by our messaging provider.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the Jobb service — including recording jobs, generating invoices, tracking payments, and sending business reports.
- Process your messages using AI to understand your intent and extract business data (see Third-party services below).
- Deliver PDF invoices and receipts to your customers via their messaging app.
- Send you proactive notifications, such as reminders about uninvoiced jobs or overdue payments.
- Improve the accuracy and quality of the AI, using anonymised and aggregated data only — never your personally identifiable business records.
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your personal or business information with third parties except as described below.
3. Third-party services
Jobb relies on the following third-party providers to deliver the service. Each provider has its own privacy policy and handles data only as necessary to perform the service.
OpenAI
We use OpenAI's GPT models to process your text and voice messages and extract business intent (e.g. identifying a job, customer name, and amount from a natural language message). Message content is sent to OpenAI's API for this purpose. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models by default.

We use Infobip to send and receive WhatsApp messages on your behalf, and to deliver invoices and receipts to your customers via WhatsApp. Message metadata and content pass through Infobip's platform as part of normal WhatsApp delivery.
View Infobip Privacy Policy →Supabase
Your account data, job records, customers, invoices, and payments are stored in a Supabase-managed PostgreSQL database. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Supabase servers are hosted on AWS infrastructure.

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal information and business records within 30 days, except where we are required to retain data by law.
Anonymised, aggregated data (e.g. counts of actions, error rates) may be retained indefinitely for service improvement purposes.
5. Your customer's data
When you use Jobb to create invoices and receipts, you may enter your customers' names and phone numbers. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate consent from your customers to share their contact information with us for the purpose of delivering documents to them.
We use your customers' phone numbers solely to deliver invoices and receipts on your behalf. We do not market to, profile, or contact your customers for any other purpose.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.
While we take security seriously, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to protect your WhatsApp account with a strong PIN and two-factor authentication.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you and your business.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data. (You can also correct most records directly through the chat interface.)
- Deletion — request that we delete your account and all associated data.
- Portability — request an export of your business data in a machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at WhatsApp or send a message through the service saying “I want to delete my account” or “Send me my data.”
8. Children's privacy
Jobb is intended for adults running service businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you via WhatsApp (or your connected channel) and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
